We love and respect the authentic sound our folk songs. We also believe that we serve the true spirit of the living folk music tradition by trying to further enrich these songs through adding our own voice to them. On our repertoire we also love to keep historical songs, ballads, sung and recited poetry. <p> We love to play traditional and modern acoustic instruments like the hurdy gurdy, the hungarian citera, shepherd s flutes, the Transylvanian cobsa, the guitar, the oud, the mountain dulcimer, the mandolin, the bouzouki, just to name the most impotrant ones. On top of it all, we love to sing together.<p> Our duo has been a permanent fixture on the Calgary multicultural and folk scene for over two decades. In this time we ve had unbelievable fun performing all over the country from Vancouver to Montreal. We ve appeared from small coffee shops like the Kensington s Deli Café or the Tea Room to huge venues like the Calgary Folk Festival. <br> In between we could be heard and seen on the CBC radio, A -Channel, Rogers Cable, the Toronto Hungarian Radio. We got invited to the Calaway Park folk festival, the Montreal Hungarian Dance House Festival, the Heritage Day multicultural events and the Canada Day musical extravanganza on Prince s Island Park. etc & We picked on the stage of the University Theatre, the Rozsa Centre, Mount Royal College s Leacock Theatre, SAIT, the Westin , Irene Besse Keyboards and the list goes on and on . <p> We feel very privileged that we had the opprtunity to share the stage with outstanding artists like Hans Theessink, Nice Try Band, The White River Bluegrass Band, Teka Ensemble, Duvo, James Keelaghan, The Wild Colonial Boys, Ron Cassat, Donovan, Kamilla Devai Nagy , Bojtorjan, Tim Williams, Barry Luft, the Molnar Dixieland Band, Jozsef Dinnyes, Janos Brody, Kormoran, Tamas Berki etc & <p> We ve also had an enormous kick out of jamming with Kalman Balogh, Ferenc Tury, Muzsikas, Andras Berecz, Bela Szerenyi, Richard Taylor and a list of other inspiring talents who contributed so much to shaping our art. </FONT> </TD> </TR> <TR> <TD COLSPAN=2 ALIGN=right><A HREF="bio.html"><IMG SRC="bio.jpg" BORDER=0></A></TD> </TR> <TR> <TD COLSPAN=2 ALIGN=right><A HREF="albums.html"><IMG SRC="albums.jpg" BORDER=0></A></TD> </TR> <TR> <TD COLSPAN=2 ALIGN=right><A HREF="poems.html"><IMG SRC="poems.jpg" BORDER=0></A></TD> </TR> <TR> <TD COLSPAN=2 ALIGN=right><A HREF="media.html"><IMG SRC="media.jpg" BORDER=0></A></TD> </TR> <TR> <TD COLSPAN=2 ALIGN=right><A HREF="events.html"><IMG SRC="events.jpg" BORDER=0></A></TD> </TR> <TR> <TD COLSPAN=2><A HREF="contact.html"><IMG SRC="contact.jpg" BORDER=0></A></TD> </TR> <TR> <TD><IMG SRC="hung.jpg" BORDER=0></TD> <TD><IMG SRC="eng.jpg" BORDER=0></TD> </TR> <TR> <TD BGCOLOR=black COLSPAN=3 HEIGHT=1200>a</TD> </TR> </TABLE> </center> </BODY> </HTML>
